hdd password

looked at my laptop this morning and had the following hdd password =

anyone know what this means or how to correct it; will not book up to windows. hit enter and hdd password = comes back on screen.

would think hdd means hard disk drive if that password don't work reboot it if you can't just shut it down take your battery out and do it that way

thanks, will try taking battery out and see if that works. will let you tomorrow how it went.
